Hen Party Fancy Dress Concepts

By Laura Wade

Fancy dress is massively beloved across the UK, and your hen party gives you each excuse you could want to engage in your love for becoming somebody else for the evening in unique outfits that represent your personality. It could be that you want to permit everyone total freedom when choosing their outfits, or maybe you will come up with a dress code to match your theme. Either way, here are some ideas for my favourite retro based outfits:

20?s

Think Boardwalk Empire - flapper girls, mafia and old-fashioned glamour. Bowler hats, suits and trilbies all look fantastic on both men and women or, if you'd like something more feminine, think about tipped fag holders, feather boas, cabaret and bobs.20?s fashion is unique, sophisticated and very hot - excellent for your hen party.

50?s

50?s fashion is fully charming; polka dots and pop socks, swing skirts and pearls, the 50's saw the rise of the teen and the birth of rock n roll. Its a straightforward style to realize too , with a huge renaissance on the high st, you can put this lovable style together in virtually no time!

60?s

Mod? Rocker? Hippy? The sixties was the age of rebellion, of love and varied fashions. Whether you choose to don your flares and your tie-dye, brave all with a mini skirt, or rock out in leather the sixties have an outfit for each taste.

70?s

The seventies saw the birth of two fully iconic movements: punk and disco. Hence dig out your super wide flares and platforms and become a disco-dancing queen, or, for an edgier look, punk it up with tartan, safety pins and the vital mohawk!

80?s

Hardly known for its accomplishment in the fashion industry, the 80?s look is unmistakable however. Think shell suits, cat suits, leg warmers and perms. This is ideal if you would like to do something less sober and lots more fun.
